Hello Autumn

Fall is definitely on it's way here in Western Michigan. We have our fall flowers out and the pumpkins stands are open. This year we are trying to keep things simple due to our upcoming move, but I could not resist a few pumpkins. Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the leaves changing colors, the smell of the air and the pumpkins!

We tried growing pumpkins in the garden this year. But pumpkins are very rude garden plants. They do not stay in nice little rows, they just grow wherever they want to! This pumpkin is still ripening so we can't pick it yet, but it is growing right on top of the beets! How Rude!

And up there is the final proof that fall is here. Those are leaves on the ground.

Saying Good-bye to Summer!

Life is good and the living is easy!

We had a great summer. Besides packing we managed to have a lot of fun. A week in Alabama with Grandma and Grandpa, playing at the beach and in the back yard, and a few weekends away made the summer fly by.

The top picture is the kids at Arlington Race Track in Illinois. We had a great time there with the whole family meeting for a day of horse racing.

Also, I managed to get a picture of the monkeys, I mean kids that love to climb our trees. They are climbing a pine tree of all things! They are about 10 feet up in the air!

Bear With Me

I have never blogged before, so it may take a few attempts to get it right. I have enjoyed keeping tabs on friends through their blogs. So I had a few minutes to myself and decided to give it a try. Advice and suggestions are always welcome.
